Location: Torrington is located on the Halifax end of Bedford in the Papermill Lake area.

 

Age of houses: Most of the houses were built in the 1990's.

 

Advantages: Torrington was originally built as a retirement subdivision so there are many one floor houses in the area. Parkland in the centre of the subdivision gives a feeling of space. Torrington is attached to Papermill Lake Subdivision which has a lake and a supervised beach in the subdivision. Bedford South School is within walking distance. Torrington is located on the Halifax end of Bedford saving commuting time. Walking to Papermill Lake beach, rink, baseball fields, parks, grocery, banks, drug stores and many other amenities. Two exits to Hwy 102 close by. Shopping and services  at Larry Uteck within a few minute drive or walking distance. 

 

Style of housing available: Mostly bungalows but some split entries and medium size two storey houses.

Schools: Bedford South within walking , Rocky lake Junior High , C.P. Allen High School.
