Fall River and Waverley Nova Scotia are communities of large lots and wide open spaces. A series of interconnecting lakes in the community make it excellent for enjoying water sports. The area is a mixture of older and newer areas and housing. A popular community and one considered a nice place to make home.
Fall River Waverley Nova Scotia is well located. Most travel is taken on the Trans Canada Hwy #102 which is a well maintained divided highway. Bedford and Sackville are only 10 minutes away. Halifax and Dartmouth are 20-30 minutes away. The Halifax International Airport is about 10-15 minutes away. Both Halifax and Dartmouth can be reached without crossing the bridges.
Fall River Waverley Nova Scotia have some amenities. There is a mid-size strip mall that houses a major grocery store (Sobeys), medical offices, several smaller stores and a few fast food outlets. There are other smaller stores in the community as well as a bank, so getting your day to day supplies and banking is not a problem. Major shopping is a short drive away in either Bedford, Halifax or Dartmouth. Dartmouth Crossing is only 15 minutes away in Dartmouth.
There is a mid size recreation center in Fall River Nova Scotia called the Gordon R Snow Community Center.
Fall River Waverley Nova Scotia offer most types of housing and a variety of lot types. Houses from $150,000 to $2.000,000 can be found in the community. Lakefront houses are plentiful but not cheap. There are new homes and older homes. There are several major subdivisions including Swartzwald, Fall River Village, Capilano Estates, Fall River Resort Estates, St. Andrew's Village and others. Lots are generally unserviced and have wells and septic fields. Some phases of Capilano and Fall River Village do have municipal water but also use septic fields. Lots range from half an acre to 2 acres in general.
