About Glen Arbour Sudivision
We live in Glen Arbour ourselves so if you are considering home we can help. Just email sandy@sandyhines.com.
VERY IMPORTANT : In 2021 Glen Arbour Golf Course was sold to an investor group lead by two residents of Glen Arbour subdivision. This investor group announced it's intention to keep Glen Arbour Golf Course as a golf course and to greatly improve the course and the facilities and bring the course back to it's previous glory as one of the top golf courses in Canada. The previous arrangement in the subdivision saw every resident paying a yearly "sustaining fee" whether you played golf or not. This fee included a yearly membership to the golf course This is no longer the case. The golf course is now a private golf course with memberships that are sold to residents and non residents. Only residents that are members of the golf course have to pay any fees. The costs of resident membership for 2022 was $2000 for a single and $3000 for a couple. There are also junior memberships available. Packages for rounds are no longer available. The membership costs to non residents is about double that of what the resident's fees are. Check the Glen Arbour Golf Course website for current pricing.
Non residents are also charged a one time joining fee but residents are not. This fee was $5000 at the time of this update (Jan 2022).
It is important that you know that even if you buy a home in Glen Arbour you are not automatically guaranteed the resident membership rates or even membership at all. The owner of the home must have kept up their sustaining fee payments when there was one and joined the golf course when it went private. So make sure you check with the golf course for the current situation with the home address you are considering.
